Seem to be coming down to the sub £50k mark....... Although not dropping in value as much as I'd like

Now that makes them price-for-price a much more appealing option than an RS4 IMHO

I've always seen the M5 as superior anyway and at £50k gives you a lotta car.

i always saw the rs4 being pitched against the M3 and always assumed the RS6 was more of a vival for the M5. £50k for an M5 does seem a good price. Id wait another year though.

Tell me more about your car please!
If I could afford any second car, it would be the M5.

It's too big, it's too floaty even on hardest suspension setting. It eats fuel, 16-17mpg in 400bhp mode, flick the M button and watch that drop. I drive would crash daily, on touring germany in crashed and wouldnt let me have sat nav back not good when your lost.

It's fast! Faster than my 911 996 TT, capped at 168mph (speedo) but at those speeds it feels just like 120, it would easily go 200 (delimited).

All in all I regret buying it, and I lost loads.

I enjoyed my b7 RS4 MUCH MOCH more even though its not as fast in a line, it doesnt everything else better.

But many £50k/sub £50k cars aren't great....multiple owners/bad colour combo's/thrashed '05 demo cars. Just because it appears *cheap* doesn't mean it's any good....:runaway:

Sure the mpg is lousy and that's made worse by having the 60 litre tank but it's a fantastic all rounder IMHO.

oh, and being picky of course, it's the E60, not E90 Simon :D

ROFL :D

A slip of the finger ......... ;)

Agree Gareth - the £49-50k ones usually have that awful (IMHO) brown wood inserts around the dash.....

Yeah - I often think some people should not be allowed to spec cars...

The wood can be changed to piano black (which imho looks the nicest and lifts the interior from the feel of the regular 5-series) or the standard trim AND it doesn't cost silly money.

As for the fuel tank, it's actually 70-litres (which is still stupidly small).

As a car it reminds me a lot of the 997 Turbo - with respect to it needs to be driven at 10/10ths to get any personality, soul, enjoyment, feel, passion (whatever term you want to use to denote driver enjoyment) out of the experience. Great for the autobahn but not for England our green-and-speed-camera'd-land.

If you could only own one car - and it needed to be 4-doors - you be hard pressed to be beat it; however, you have to take into account the sub 200-mile tank range

Good luck finding something in Wilmslow that isnt overpriced by around 20% compared to surrounding areas.

Also good luck trying to get anywhere in a morning after 07:30.

Apart from that its a really nice place :nervous:

Thanks (I think !)........ just had an offer accepted - on Manchester Road.
Since I leave at 7am sharp, I think the traffic will be OK.

As for value - I'd be the first to agree that Wilmslow seemed overpriced initially. It was a shock to find somewhere there at a price easily comparable to similar propertie offered in Cheadle, Altrincham and Disley.

Since we were in a strong position the £20k off helped bring the price to a a more realistic position. :)

Seen an interlagos blue M6, is that a good colour for the M6 or a big no no?

Want it to kill time pre R8...

Not the best colour Interlagos-Sapphire Black is for the M6. When's the R8 due?

Yeah I think your right, black does look good. Do you know of any black or gun metal silvers for 50k?

Dealer reckons end of next year for the R8 :(

Not for £50k, no chance with the M6.

In a word, no.

Bad colour (Indy Red is the least popular/most difficult one to move on), miles are up there and has it had the 1,200 running in service done on time?
