I hope Adam doesn't mind me posting this but I think the more people on this board who see it the better

Thats something to remember - Brabus V12's arent slow - surprised that it seemed faster from standing start than the 996......

The Brabus driver stuck his foot to the floor off the line whilst Adam pootled off in the RUF, then realised what the Brab had done so gave it some welly :)
I seem to remember that the Brabus' brakes died after a couple of runs whilst the RUF's brakes only had very small cracks in despite braking from 200 to a lot let than that on more than one occasion.

I was there on the day this was shot.
Brabus did 3 runs and had major brake fade so went home...
The RUF did 0-200mph about 20 times and drove home again. No problems what so ever....
Fantastic car!

Hi Andy :)
Yes the Brabus was astoundingly quick and capable car, and the owner is a very close friend of ours, and had actually just flown in from Australia 3 hours prior to the event!
From a standstill i think the RUF would have had more of an advantage
Rad thank you for posting
all the best

I was surprised when I first watched this, at how much the RUF got his ass wipped off the line, especially as the RUF has 4wd doesnt it ? (I'm not sure which 996 the RUF is based on so apologies in advance if I have got it wrong) - that said, as others have posted, it doesnt look like the RUF is really trying that hard to start with (as what is the point in burning out a perfectly good clutch when you are aiming for high speed runs), then he does the 2nd gear bend and hammers it.
Very impressive indeed....I want!

I assume the Brabus is an Auto which would explain a lot about the flying start.
I drove an RS6 for a while and was amazed how devastatingly quick it was off the line. All that torque available without any need for a clutch.
