Not only is he (Blowdog/Cem) talking to himself, but he is also answering himself, true sign of madness, maybe the thrill of the hunt for a new car has sent him over the edge :p

Cem,

You really are funny answering your own posts.

BUT - OMG, thats an awesome Yellow GT2, I love the yellow inside as well.

If I was looking for a car, I would be driving there right now, to camp outside their door for Monday morning opening...........

Please buy that car Cem, it's just fantastic............. :D

Hang on, no don't, I'm just wondering if there's any way I could justify owning two GT2 Clubsports............. and they are only 10 minutes from my house.............

Think Kurt has had the GT2 for about 3 months as I remember him asking questions about exhausts on Pistonheads. He bought my old CSL which I see is also for sale at AVRO.

Can I assume that car will come with warranty too?

If its going through a motor trader, I believe any Porsche warranty it may have had is forfeit.

Looks stunning, but not sure its very competitively priced for an 02. There was a silver 02 up on PH at mid 60s last month.

I'm definitely having feelings of lust though. I was considering a GT2 instead of the RS, but couldn't find one to test drive and came to the conclusion I'd enjoy an RS more. This just throws me back into confusion. Got a deposit down on the RS though now!

Definitely an 02...I have seen the car,, There are very few SY, CS versions.

This car has been for sale for close to 18 months at various non Porsche dealer /specialists.... not saying there is anything wrong with it at all, other than it is not being used. :D
I guess an SY GT2 is an acquired taste.

If I remember correctly Kurt bought it from Specialist Cars

Lovely car Cem, but you will get bummed on trade-in with that colour

I can just hear the salesman now "oh Sir, this really is a unique colour, VERY hard to sell indeed" etc etc

I fear this could be yet another painful exercise.

Yeah - I wouldn't consider it. I like speed yellow GT3's but not when the inside is decked out in same colour too.

If a little pricey !! Still that leaves room for negotiation i guess .. 175k for the 250 GTO replia ( i DONT FINK SO....) and as for 43k for a CSL with 10k miles thats 4k over ....at least !!

Think you will find a lot of the cars at AVRO are advertised on SOR as they do not work as traditional garage. The guys are ex Maranello and Romans and have a large and rich client base who they source cars for.

This really puts that the price of that car in perspective :

I think the chap ended up trading it in after no interest.

Cripes! thats some car for £66k!!!!

Thats cost him somewhere in the region of £3.17 per mile in depreciation alone if he bought it from new

The OPCs had 3 GT2s in stock over the last 6 months that I know of, and they were all price competitive with the example I've given above. As I said, the yellow ones seller needs to mark to market, but its going to involve some tears!

Lovely car in the ad, enjoyed the humour in the thread.

Three months and 3000 miles into the speed yellow 996GT2 CS experience, although with a black interior, and loving it. Colour is all a matter of taste, and there is no accounting for it.

Can't say I am worried about comparing residuals due to colour because they will all depreciate. So you end up with either shiny buttons versus dull buttons on resale! Might as well drive what you as an individual really want too.

I tried two black GT2s before I saw a yellow one in the metal. Good as those pictures are they don't really convey how gobsmacking a yellow one is.

Don't know if you guys noticed, but there is a silver comfort spec 996 GT2 on an 02 plate up for just 60 grand in the back of Porsche Post this month. It has 17K miles. It's a 1 owner car. Imagine how he's feeling about the depreciation! It's the lowest priced one I have yet seen. Amazing bargain.
