Default OK time for a change!

    Ladies and gents.

Moz and I have been chatting today and have decided that it would benefit this site to change things a bit.

I've got some time to invest into it and now's a great time to do so.
I have two things to ask from you all.

    1) Please answer the poll. I like the Yellow, I think it's original and quirky, but I also understand that it's not work friendly. Some of you established people probably don't notice the colour anymore. But maybe you do and it's a unique identifier.

    2) Please give me your suggestions, wish lists, santa lists etc. What would you like to see more of? Less of? What's the best bits of S9 and what not? Do you like the emphasis on events? Do you require more privacy? More locked down forums? Throw me your thoughts guys.

    1. Like Yellow
    2. Could have a diary of events section - i know it may sound a bit gash but would be cool to see what car related events are up and coming and who fancies going? could be locked?

As discussed earlier Cem, just a few more VIP members only areas (many business owners and bosses dont want to talk away on a car forum where their staff could easily nosey around and lurk on them). Maybe a mild toning down of the colours, but lets not get boring. Also I understand that changing the url would be a pain in the ass (and potentially expensive), but we should skim the site and use 'S9's' all over the place instead of 'stuttgart9's' (to lose the Porsche background to it - which will attract to a wider audience of car folk. Then beyond that, the forum core need to get their fingers put of their arses and get some decent people involved

This, otherwise don't change anything. It works, just needs more humans.

    IMO this site needs

    1. More members Posting, so use the database, mail them, remind them we are here.
    2. Send regular mails to database of hot topics
    3. More private areas, it also creates the desire for people.
    4. Banners on the people discussing this now's websites
    5. Colours are ace, but I get what people say.. Needs to be Sfw
    6. Maybe we should tone down the "look what we've got" for a bit as I am sure it could alienate a few people from getting involved from posting in fear of being abused

Ok - a different take. You need to drop the private members crap for now and concentrate on getting people in. If you get more people only then should you worry about private areas.

    Private members areas promote distrust.

Then you need to remember that S9 is not going to be the only forum people belong to and what other ones have these areas ? None of them.

Drop this business leaders crap - PGT tried that and you don't hear it said any more.

Whatever you are doing now simply is not working so forget evolution and think revolution.

While I am on one, take the emphasis away from cars and on to
Lifestyle . If you look at PGT half the threads are cars, half are lifestyle (current affairs, politics etc)

If you build the MSP around that you'll get more people wanting to get involved. Not everyone has supercars , in fact hardly anyone does so don't ignore that fact. Find a common thread and use it.
