    Default Just been here...

Not been to Gran Canaria before, but wanted a bit of last minute sun without a long flight so this fitted the bill:

Baobab Resort Lopesan Hotel in Gran Canaria, Spain

Was really lovely. Food was excellent and most importantly great for the little ones. It was quite quiet when we were there, so no problems getting to the bar. Would definitely go back, was a great relaxing holiday.

Pretty much sun all year round in the Canaries Clive, it's not far off the equator

Tenerife and Gran Canaria have really raised their game in recent years, there are some real nice 5 Star resorts on them these days

Short flight (4 hrs), sun all year round and family friendly

Yes it would be great for William Clive, they have a separate pool for babies which is about 8 inches deep. Weather was mid 20s and while there was a bit of cloud, there was good sun every day we were there.

It you are with William you will want at least a Junior suite - and I would go full board. Prices very reasonable this time of year imo

Tenerife changed the law several years ago so the only new hotels that could be built were 5*. This was designed to increase the market quality away from the 'trashy' end.

Good move by the Spanish was that. The Canaries should be an absolute year round goldmine for them....the trashy image did it no favours at all

Flights were crap - but got to fly from Bristol Airport which was great.

They certainly have raised the game in Gran Canaria - was so nice.
